A number of natural, cultural, architectural and historical sights.

The highest mountain range, castles and chateaus

Tourist come from all parts of the country and from abroad, mostly from Germany, Poland and Nederland.

Urban tourism, hiking, cycling thanks to an existence of network of paths and cycling routes. Winter sport activities in some well equipped mountainous resorts.

Transportation

The region occupies an strategic location regarding the important transeuropean rout Paris - Nuremberg - Prague - Hradec Králové - Warsaw - Moscow. The D11 highway is to be finished until next year.

The region also has a sufficient railway network.

The development of transport infrastructure is one of the main priorities of the region.
